DIN 912 ALLEN BOLT

Hexagon socket screws DIN 912 are now in stock. These are classic metric screws with cylinder head and hexagon socket also known as SHCS. All these screws are 8.8 and are zinc-plated as a protection against corrosion.

Availability of Fine Thread:To meet the increasing demand for fine thread socket head cap screws, we have added many sizes (from M8 x 1 through
M20 x 1.5) to our standard product line. Please see page # 1-43 for a complete list (grade 12.9 only).
2: Availability of Grade 10.9:MMCC stocks socket head cap screws in the standard grades 8.8 (tensile 120,000 psi) and 12.9 (tensile 172,000 psi). Some
of our customers do have unique “shear strength” requirements that can only be satisfied by grade 10.9 (tensile 150,800 psi). Many of our European
manufacturers keep a limited inventory (M4 through M48) of 912’s in grade 10.9. Please inquire for lead times and specific minimum quantities.
3: Availability of Fully Thread:The requirements of standard 912 set the recommended minimum thread length of this product a 2x the thread diameter
plus 12mm. Many customers have situations that require a much longer thread length. To accommodate their needs, we have decided to stock many
of these “special” fully threaded socket heads. Please see page # 1-44 for a complete list of sizes (grade 12.9 only).
4: Special Modifications & Materials:MMCC has a staff of machinists that specialize in common modifications such as left-hand threads, reduced shanks,
safety wire drilling, etc. We can also add locking mechanisms (like nylon patch/pellets) and special plating (like Dacromet/Dacronite, etc.) if you require.
