Hex Nut The most common hexagonal fastener with internal threads that screws on to the shank of a bolt or a hex cap screw. Hexagonal Nuts have an interior thread that is used to screw the nut onto a hex bolt with matching thread. The use of hex nuts provides a strong, secure join with the bolt that is able to withstand high wear, stress and strain. A finished nuts is a classic design which is widely used for industrial as well as commercial use. When stainless steel is not an option due to the application or budget, hexagonal nuts are commonly given an electro-deposited zinc plated finish which gives it a different look and feel.
Hexagonal nuts are required for most fastening purposes and designed for hassle free installation. Though the hex nut design seems basic they are created to deliver high end efficiency and performance.
